Cool It is a Chrome extension for creating and using short, personal reset prompts. This policy describes the data that the extension handles and how it is used.
Cool It stores the information needed to provide its reset feature:
When upgrading from an older version, Cool It may also read the previously stored reset message and duration so that those settings can be migrated.
The stored data is used only to display, edit, select, and run the user’s personal resets. Cool It does not use the data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
Cool It saves this data with Chrome’s storage.sync API. Depending on the
user’s Chrome profile and sync settings, Chrome may synchronize it between the
user’s signed-in browsers. That synchronization is provided by the browser and
is governed by the user’s Google and Chrome settings.
The extension makes no network requests and has no developer-operated server, account system, analytics service, or advertising service. The developer does not receive, sell, or share the stored reset data with third parties.
Users can edit or delete individual resets from the Cool It Settings page. At least one reset is retained so the extension remains usable. The Restore default reset control replaces the current reset collection with the default reset. Browser profile, extension removal, and Chrome Sync controls may also affect storage and retention.
Cool It limits its Chrome permissions to storage, keeps all executable code
inside the installed extension package, and does not transmit reset data over
the network.
Cool It’s use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The extension uses that information only to provide its user-facing reset features.
This policy will be updated if Cool It’s data handling changes. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
